Bill Cosby Dead is Just Another Celebrity Death Hoax


“Bill Cosby dead” was the number one search term on Google Hot Trends this morning when I woke up. Many surfers also saw the terms “did Billy Cosby die” if they used the service which illustrates hot keywords people are searching for. It’s apparent that Bill Cosby dead is just another internet hoax. It’s probably just a malicious rumor that originated because someone thought it would be funny. Who really thinks a celebrity death hoax is funny? The death of anyone shouldn’t be utilized as a vehicle for comedy. Bill Cosby is one of the greatest comedians of his generation. Would he or any other comedian believe a celebrity death hoax is funny?

Bill Cosby joins a long line of other celebrities that have been rumored to be dead at some point. An internet hoax like “did Bill Cosby die” seems to be popular to create these days. Perhaps someone wants instant page views for their blog or just wants to throw something out there that has shock value. I find it in awful taste.

Typically younger celebrities are often rumored to be dead. The distinct problem with a celebrity death hoax concerning someone like Bill Cosby is that it could be feasible to many people. Bill Cosby was born in 1937 so it’s not out of the realm of possibilities that he could pass away at any point. Let’s hope not and just wish that he lives another 20 or 30 years.”

Old Spice Guy Makes Twitter Fan’s Marriage Proposal


The Old Spice guy just took his YouTube (YouTube) campaign to a whole new level by proposing to a woman on behalf of one of his Twitter (Twitter) followers. The fan tweeted within hours that she’d agreed to marry him.

Yesterday, Old Spice started posting YouTube videos featuring the shirtless man from the popular TV commercials delivering personalized messages to fans on Twitter, Facebook (Facebook) and other websites. Regular fans got video responses, but the Old Spice guy also smartly targeted social media-savvy celebrities and bloggers to get the word out and achieve viral status.

A fan named Johannes S. Beals tweeted, “Can U Ask my girlfriend to marry me? Her name is Angela A. Hutt-Chamberlin” to Old Spice. The following video popped up on YouTube within an hour, and Old Spice tweeted it at Beals.
